There’s a good reason to get a hearing check if you have concerns.
In a study by the University of California, Irvine and Harvard Medical School, people with a lot of trouble hearing had nearly twice the odds of an accident that resulted in injury (like falling or a car crash) compared with those with normal hearing. Even minor problems increased the odds of driving and leisure-time accidents with injuries.
